When photographing at the Refuge of Hope I look for the people surrounding this one place to give a face to Canton, the economy, the community or what fits between those lines. Each individual is captured with a hint of their surroundings. I'm looking for more to connect the viewer with the situation and place. I hope that with hints of the landscape in Canton or any area with a similar economy, there will be more of an understanding for myself and my audience. Bare with me as I test the waters to a new endeavor to possibly sync my portraits to a broader message.
